What a wonderful weekend in Boston - 10/21/13 never posted

I had every intention to give my little girl some space, thinking the trip of this weekend to Boston would be more for my own insanity, not necessary for her, and for her dad's birthday. I have this need to see her and be close to her but I was very conscious to give her space of her own and let her grow in her own world ever since her headed to the college this summer. So I booked a hotel away from the campus, rented a car so we could explore Boston when she spent her time with her friends between the matches. The actual account of what happened the past two days were: Friday night: Jamie spent the night at our hotel after the game where she had her best performance, hitting 600 and recorded another triple double; Sat during the day, after practice, we sat at the lawn under the sun, ate hot dogs and burgers together, we went to the Curry Student Center listen to her playing piano for us, then we spent the rest of the day walking around hand in hand from the park to the Fenway, to down town Boston, we ate Thai food and cold stone before we all felt fat and happy and headed back to the hotel together; Sat night, Jamie spent the night at our hotel, even though David yelled at the burglar at 5 o'clock in the morning in his dream that woke us all up, Jamie still had one of her best sleep, according to her; Sunday, we drop her off at Cabet Center (home of theHuskie Volleyball) the last possible minute, went to International Village to have brunch and went back to watch her play a match, hugged her and her sweaty jersey after a 3-1 victory to Huskies' old rivalry Dalaware and headed to the airport (made one wrong turn, but got there on time); Sunday evening: Jamie said she missed us already.

We got to see the famous New England changing color, absolutely stunning! We witnessed the Red Sox fans stood outside the Fenway Park 3 hours before the game waiting to go in, all the special force police cars, bomb squad, I even took picture with them, acting like a stupid tourist, we saw the ever famouse Fenway Park itself, where Red Sox hit the second Grand Slam in two days a few hours after we left.

What a wonderful weekend!!!!!!
