7/30/20 Beautiful Day in Paradise

Just ordered Sadie's water bowl and food bowl. I joked with David that both of us ate from $1 a piece bowl but Sadie would be eating/drinking out of $35 bowl๐Ÿ˜‚ we are getting Sadie ready:








I am getting anxious now and wonder how it will look like once we brought Sadie back. This would be the first dog I own from birth. 12 days and counting down. 

Today also would be my first day back to Wash after COVID-19. I have been working so hard on setting, would it pays off? 

Workout: Chest and Back + Abs + HIIT

Dinner: shake

7/28/20 another boring day

Workout: Arms and Shoulders

Breakfast: Cottage cheese + banana smoothie
Snack: cantaloupe
Lunch: Power Greens + walnuts + 1/2 smith green apple + Dry cranberry + 1 egg Salads
Snack: Greek yogurt + blue berry + Acai
Dinner: noodle soup, tomato eggs, onion/potatoes, lamb soup
Snack: cheese cake - bad :-(

New Day New Week


I made a cheese cake last night, and then realize that I had to put it in the refrig over night before serving. But, it's Monday, my cheat day is over๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜–

Because I am going to visit my parents with my sister, we were planning when we can leave the house. I was trying to think about all the things I have to do, my sister said, well, get up a little earlier, skip the workout, get your stuff done first ... haha, in my mind, working out IS MY STUFF that I have to finish before we leave, so here I am:

Legs & Abs
- warm up
- Squat: 15x3, 25x1
- Reverse Lunge: 20x4
-Forward Lunge: 20x4
Glute Bridge: 20x4 with 30lb weight
Bodyweight Calve Raises: 25x4 with 15lb weight each hand
- Ab workout for 12 minutes (youtube)

Breakfast 10:30a: Protein Shake - oat, power green, 1/2 banana, 1/2 orange, 20g protein power, rice milk and coconut milk
Lunch: veggie+chicken wings+rice
Snack: Greek Yogurt + blue berry and Acai + honey
Dinner: Rice and veggie

TGIF

I have seen 129.5 lb this morning. Last time I saw anything under 130 was 3 years ago, after I had my master cleanse.

Good Friday volleyball, I felt great, energetic, fast and strong. My set was good too. I am so looking forward to next week starting of our league play. I need to find more volleyball, I love it so much.


Breakfast: steamed egg + egg white, steamed power greens + rice soup
Snacks: cottage cheese + 1/2 banana + rice milk smoothie
Lunch: 6 shrimp dumplings
Dinner: Chinese stir fry with rice - eggplant with pork, tofu cabbage, lamb bone soup

Beautiful day!

I weigh myself this morning and I saw 130.5. That's a number that I have not seen for a very long time, especially the past two days I consciously ate more then usual. When I workout this morning, I had more energy to push through and added a super set for the back exercise.

Push Ups on Knees 12 x 4 (last week, I couldn't do this after above 2 sets, and I was fine today)

My dad would be 94 this year and mom is 88, what's the secret? - 2

Its partly cloudy and hot, but I felt nice and controlled so far.

I am listening to ๆ–ญ่ˆ็ฆป, while I am slowly going through all the stuff I have accumulated over the years and cleaning them out. I have thrown away a lot and there are a lot more I should threw away. It is liberating to threw things away, hard but liberating. Sometimes I told myself, if I haven't used it or wear it for 20 years, I should part away from it ... still very hard, but I am progressing.

Breakfast started with Latte that David prepared at 8:30a. I jokingly said that he created a coffee monster - I don't even like coffee, but it looks so pretty, I am more of a soul coffee drinker than a true flavor lover.

Jamie called at an odd hour - 8:30a, even she said that she was just calling to say hi, I knew something happened, sure enough, she was sad and upset that Matt played the guilt trip on her playing a tournament with her friend Stanley, who he had a big fell out with a couple of years ago. While I think Jamie made a good choice knowing where her priority is, I want to tell her later that she needs to not let Matt plant any seed of him dictating who she can play with and when. Once again, I found myself counting my blessings that how David never ever sent me on a guilty trip the 20 years I've been with him. I have a rare gold in my hand.

Made myself steamed kale+egg, avocado toast and fresh squeezed lemon water for breakfast. Read 1984 for 30 minutes. My day started better than yesterday and I am on my quest of eating more and still managing my weight. So here is my plan for today:

Breakfast 10a: avocado toast, egg (1 whole+a little egg white), steamed kale ✅
Lunch 1p: cucumber, tofu and egg salad ✅
Snacks: Greek yogurt with blue berry and Acai ✅
Snacks: 5:30p protein shake ->
Volleyball practive: 5:30p ✅
Dinner: 7:30p home made potato salads + bitter mellon + cabbage meat ball soup ✅YUUUUMMMMMYYYYY

My dad would be 94 this year and mom is 88, what's the secret?

When I was in my 30s, every time I went to buffet ... that is ... Chinese buffet ... I can pile up food, plate after plate, and finish them all ... and I was a 5'7 + 123lb girl. And then, 40 came, 45 came, things changed a little, well, a lot. Watching the scales and I jumped into an unfamiliar territory,  I started to skip breakfast, eat salad for lunch, at dinner, put 3 scoops of rice in my bowl, and then, took one out, took another scoop out ... that is rice we are talking about, my life line! I don't know when was the last time I saw anything less than 132 lbs. In a good day, after a whole night of sleep, and get rid of all the water and waste, if I saw a 132 on the scale, I'd bring this big news to everybody I can find in the house. Now, after so many years of not eating, I couldn't, even if I want to, to eat a big meal. A little food would make me full and bloat and uncomfortable. I don't have a lot of energy any more, I felt fatigue all the time. I was weak when I workout and couldn't push it through. 

My mom's like a horse - David said ... in a good way. She's always energetic and none stop doing something. Lately, whatever got into her, she said she needs to be on diet. She said her tummy's too big ... at age 88, she wants to loose weight. So she ate 1/4 piece of bread a meal, plus 2 pieces of meat and 1 bite of vegi and called it good. She looks so skinny, still with a big belly that used by all 4 of us at one point as our house ... and I never heard so much of her complaining how tired she felt all the time.

So, here is the break through - the secrete, at least one of the secretes of my long-live parents - they really really can put down a lot of food, always! They ate a big bowl of oatmeal with eggs, nuts, goji berries and raisins in it in the morning, with a piece of american cheese (yuk) and 1 piece of whole wheat bread. They have some sort of snacks between breakfast and lunch, then lunch, then some more fruit, then dinner. If I take them to a buffet ... that is ... Chinese buffet, they typically would make 2 - 3 trips to replenish their plate. David always say, they can pound down food, I use to think it was embarrassing, now I think it is the reason that they are so healthy! I told my theory to my mom a few days ago, she thought about it, and then whole suddenly, she ate a big bowl of rice soup, plus some meat and vegi, plus a thigh of bread with more meat in it. I had to tell her to slow down.

And of course, I had to tell David my conclusion too, with lots of enthusiastic and this morning, David said: I had an oatmeal (of course with all the stuff that my mom use to put in there), a piece of bread with peanut butter and jelly and coffee :-) .... and for me? I made myself some kale (boiled in water to get rid of oxalic acid), steamed egg (่›‹็พน)flavored with some salt and ่€ๅนฒๅฆˆ. Coffee with milk no sugar. David made me some Greek yogurt with blue berry and Acai. I am going to start to eat more, a lot more and I want to see if I can gain some strength without gaining much weight?

Side effect of COVID-19

1. my daughter came back home for almost 2 months from NY since she can work from home, we enjoyed this time together very much!
2. our business continued to move forward, some effect but nothing unmanageable; however, we took the opportunity to lower our mortgage rate, especially the SBA for QZ, potentially save us 6 figures a year.
3. I had finally got out of the road, which is toxic for me since 2014, especially the past 4 years. I prayed for a solution and GOD gave it to me. I want to count my blessings and move forward with 1000% guard in heart. Praise the Lord
4. so many times I said to David, I wish the world can just stop for a while and so I can catch up ... and it stopped, and I almost caught up. be careful for what you wish for, and in this case, it work out for me, but a good reminder that I need to respect the superpower of GOD or universe
5. I can be happy with very little.
