Day23: Core Synergistics

Just finished the 23rd days of P90X.

First time on Core Synergistics. It reminds me of the Insanity. In another words, I couldn't catch my breath while I am trying to keep up with them. I also have to keep thinking about "engaging" my core, which is really hard, since all I could think of at the time was that "is it a minute yet"? All my pride were gone, I thought I got stronger, better ... when I have to pause to catch my breath, I ask myself, which part of these is "recovery"?

But we stuck through it, and in the end, I am glad I did it. Am I weired if I say this is one of my favorite workout, since it works different parts of one's body at the same time and it helps to increase the endurance. Is that how you increase your range of fat burning heart rate zone?

I read something interesting yesterday. Per ancient Chinese medicine, different organs of the human body has their own time of resting and repairing cycle every day. I.e. 5am to 7am is for your digestive system, especially intestines. In another words, your intestines are most active - moving, repairing etc between 5a -7a. That explains why my mom told me to drink my vinegar + honey mixture between that time; why I was told to drink a glass of room temperature water as soon as I am awake in the morning,  before getting up, before brushing my teeth and washing my face.

There are three most important time frame to remember - per Chinese Medicine: 5a-7a Intestines working/repairing time; 9p - 11p immune system repairing, resting time (it is important to start to slow down and get ready for bed); 11p - 3a, time for your liver and gallbladder to work and repair, so make sure you are in deep sleep through that time frame.
